S-Tool by Martin Saar of MbyMartin

This was a live project designed according to the brief from SCP

Dimensions: 450mm tall and 350mm wide

S-Tool is a button-like tabouret that has a cushion sandwiched between two layers of hand-turned timber. It is inspired by a very simple everyday object, a button, which is tied to the stool playing with the idea of tension. The cushion provides comfort and is an elegant detail making this stool one of a kind. It is carefully crafted featuring solid beech legs and seat contrasted with colourful thread.
